City of Yakima facilities will be closed next Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
This includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works, the Harman Center, Law and Justice Center and Parks and Recreation offices.
Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available.
Yakima Transit will not provide bus service next Thursday.
There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Thursday, July 4th. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division for Thursday and Friday will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, July 5th, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, July 6th.
The one-day delay also applies to yard waste.
To ensure proper service, residents are asked to have their carts set out by 6:00 am.
Yakima Municipal Court will be closed Thursday, but accepts online payments at http://yakimamunicourtpay.com/
