Most City of Yakima buildings and facilities will be closed Monday, May 26^th, in observance of Memorial Day.

That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation offices.

Business offices for the police and fire departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available. Yakima Municipal Court will be closed for the holiday.

Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.

The City’s Harman Center will be closed Saturday, May 24^th and Monday, May 26^th.

There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Monday, May 26^th. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, May 30^th, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, May 31^st.

The one-day delay next week also applies to yard waste. To ensure proper service, residents are asked to have their carts set out by 6:00 am.
