To help ensure the safety of its employees, the City of Yakima Refuse Division is currently looking at options for pickup locations other than alleys.

“This plan is a work in progress,” said Solid Waste Manager Trace Bradburn. “We will work with residents on a case-by-case basis as collection sites other than alleyways may not always be viable.”
