The following road closures will be in place from 7:00 am Tuesday, May 27th, through the beginning of September due to roundabout construction at Fruitvale Boulevard/River Road/34th Avenue:
- Fruitvale Boulevard at River Road and 34th Avenue will be closed to all commercial truck traffic.
- River Road access from Fruitvale Boulevard will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic.
Detours will be posted.
Access will be maintained to properties in the project area.
Due to construction, Yakima Transit Route 3 will have a detour starting Tuesday, May 27th, until further notice. There will be no bus service on River Road between N. 34th Avenue and N. 20th Avenue. The bus will continue east on Fruitvale Blvd to N. 20th Ave, turn left on N. 20th Ave, then right on River Road to resume the route.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
