Road construction work to complete the Fair Avenue roundabout will result in traffic changes beginning on Thursday, October 15^th.

Westbound bound traffic on Fair Avenue will no longer be detoured onto MLK Jr. Boulevard. Instead, one lane of the new roundabout will be open to allow motorists to connect directly with East Lincoln Avenue.

Eastbound traffic on MLK Jr. Boulevard will be detoured at 8^th Street and motorists will need to use the Yakima Avenue underpass to reach the Gateway Center and nearby motels along Fair Avenue.

The detour route will be clearly marked, with message boards and signs to direct motorists around the construction activity.

Local neighborhood access will be maintained as best as possible.

The closure of MLK Jr. Boulevard in the vicinity of the roundabout is expected to last until November 16^th.

As always, schedules for these types of projects are subject to change because of weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
