Due to staffing shortages, the City of Yakima Franklin Pool is temporarily canceling evening recreational swim sessions originally scheduled for 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
“Hopefully, we can have new staff on board soon so we can re-open the evening session,” said Parks and Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson.
Franklin Pool, 2102 Tieton Drive, re-opened to the public on June 10th after having been closed for all of 2020 due to COVID-19 precautions. Capacity at Franklin Pool is limited to 50 percent, about 200 swimmers.
