The Harman Center closes at 2:30 pm today, Thursday, August 19th, due to wildfire smoke.
The smoke is entering the building through the front doors and creating unhealthy air quality inside the Harman Center.
The City of Yakima plans to open the Harman Center tomorrow, Friday, for its regular operating hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The City’s Franklin Pool is also closed today due to unhealthy air quality.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect through 3:00 pm Friday.
