Pictures with Santa, a hot cocoa bar and holiday crafts will be offered during the City of Yakima Harman Center’s 2^nd annual “Santa’s Workshop and Lego Village Competition” event.

The free event is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, Dec. 7^th.  Contestants must pre-register for the Lego Village Competition contest by Thursday, December 5^th They can pre-register at the Harman Center’s front desk at 101 N. 65^th Avenue or by calling 575-6166.

“Our hope is for a multi-generational event, with parents, grandparents, children having fun together with Legos,” said Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards.

The theme for this year is a medieval winter village Lego contest.

Prizes in the form of gift cards donated by local businesses will be awarded to Lego entries submitted in two different categories: Originally Built and Fan Favorite.

There will be first, second and third-place prizes awarded in the Originally Built category, which requires participants to create an entry that is not based on a kit or internet instructions. The Fan Favorite, voted on by the public, will award one Grand Prize winner.
