Lincoln Avenue Lane Closures to Continue

Lane closures for a 2-block stretch of Lincoln Avenue continue next week for an ongoing stormwater project.

Lincoln Avenue between 34th Avenue and 36th Avenue will be open without restrictions this week. However, lane closures will resume next Monday and Tuesday, November 20th and 21st. Lane closures will continue overnight Monday and during project work hours on Tuesday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Lincoln Avenue will be open without restrictions following surface restoration on Tuesday November 21st.

Also as part of this stormwater project, 35th Avenue continues to be closed to all traffic on the north side of Lincoln Avenue during project work hours. This closure is in place  Monday through Friday next week, with the closure continuing overnight on Monday, November 20th.

Access is being maintained for properties in the area as well as emergency vehicles.

The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
