Manhole Cover Replacement on Nob Hill to Impact Traffic

A project to replace a manhole cover on Nob Hill Boulevard between 30th Avenue and 31st Avenue will impact traffic in the morning on Thursday, September 29th.

City of Yakima Wastewater Division crews will be working on the project between 5:30 am and 10:00 am on September 29th.  As a result of the project, westbound traffic on Nob Hill between 30th Avenue and 31st Avenue will be reduced to one lane.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Bob Brown at 406-7103.
