Thanks to a $25,000 donation from the Yakima Lions Club, a new pergola is now available for the public at the City of Yakima’s Lions Park.
“The $25,000 donation made this project a reality,” said Parks & Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson. “It is a great addition to the park and complements the playground the Lions Club previously helped us build.”
City of Yakima parks employees assembled the pergola and work was completed earlier this week.
“Our park maintenance crew did a great job,” said Wilkinson. “I appreciate their hard work and the support of our local Lions Club for helping us make the community a better place.”
