Overnight Closures Next Week for Nob Hill Boulevard

A grind and overlay project will require closing the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard overnight next week. From Monday, Sept. 11th, through Thursday, Sept. 14th, the intersection will be closed from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Detour routes will be in effect during the closure. Access will be maintained to properties within the project area except for those within 100 feet of the intersection.

This is in addition to an overnight closure next week of Nob Hill Boulevard between 13th Avenue and 29th Avenue for another grind and overlay project. Closures for that project will be 7:00 pm to 6:00 pm next Monday through Friday, Sept. 11-15.

Detours will be posted throughout the project area and on side streets.

The grind and overlay project of Nob Hill Boulevard from 13th Avenue to 29th Avenue began on June 26th and the project is expected to last until mid-October.

Access to properties in the project area are being maintained as best as possible.

Schedules for these types of projects are subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

Traffic delays in the area are likely to occur during closures for the grind and overlay projects. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
