Planned improvements for the intersection of E. Nob Hill Boulevard and Fair Avenue resume Monday, February 2nd.
As a result, starting Monday the intersection will again be closed to traffic overnight from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday through Thursday. The intersection will be completely closed during those overnight hours. Traffic will be detoured north via Pacific Avenue or south via Mead Avenue.
Access will be maintained to properties in the area.
Overnight closures are required for several improvements planned for the intersection. They include a new traffic signal as well as reconstructing and widening the intersection with City water/stormwater improvements
The intersection will be opened up each Friday morning for the weekend.
It is anticipated this work schedule, and related closures, will remain in place until Spring.
Work originally began in October and temporarily halted in December due to winter weather.
The project is scheduled to be completed in June.
This $3,012,345 project is funded by a Federal Highway Administration Surface Transportation Block Grant, local utility and Transportation Benefit District funds.
