Traffic on a section of Yakima Avenue will be impacted Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, August 18th and August 19th, for a project to paint pavement markings on the roadway.
The City of Yakima’s Traffic Division will paint pavement markings on Yakima Avenue from 7th Avenue to 8th Street between 5:30 am and 11:00 am both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Traffic may be reduced to one lane in each direction during the project work hours. Access to businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
