Englewood Avenue will be closed between N. 66th Avenue and N. 74th Avenue this Thursday, April 4th, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The closure is required so the Yakima-Tieton Irrigation District (YTID) can repair a pipe leak. The same section of Englewood Avenue was closed last Thursday, March 28th, for a YTID pipe repair project. However, YTID found an additional leak in that area, requiring a closure again this Thursday for repairs.
Access to properties in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
Detours will be posted and drivers are encouraged to avoid the project area, if possible.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure and emergencies.
