A section of South 34th Avenue will be closed for about three weeks starting Monday, November 3rd.
The closure will be from 3233 W. King Street to 1325 South 34th Avenue as crews will be installing a new sewer mainline. Work begins Monday and is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving. The project will be divided into three sections to make the transition easier for residents in the area.
This section of South 34th Avenue will be closed to all traffic expect for access to properties in the area.
Traffic delays in the project area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the areas will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project areas when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
For additional information about this project, contact Construction Inspector Tim Daniels at 509-576-6607.
