A section of Englewood Avenue will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th, for an asphalt removal and replacement project.
Englewood Avenue will be closed between 53rd Avenue and 56th Avenue from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm tomorrow.
A detour route will be in effect during the closure. Flaggers will be on site to assist drivers around the closed section of Englewood Avenue.
Local access for emergency vehicles and residents in the project work area will be provided during the closure.
Because of heavy traffic volume, drivers can expect delays in the project area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
The closure may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection. Contact the City of Yakima Refuse Division at 509-575-6005 for more information.
