A road work project along a 6-block section of West Chestnut Avenue will impact traffic from Wednesday, May 25^th until Wednesday, June 8^th.

City of Yakima Street Division crews will be preparing West Chestnut Avenue for repaving and the road will be restricted to local traffic only between 66th Avenue and 72^th Avenue from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays.  Special signage and other traffic control measures will be in place while the project is underway.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
