Signal Work at 16th Avenue and Yakima Avenue to Impact Traffic

Some lanes of traffic will be affected this Wednesday, February 26th, so City of Yakima crews can change out the north and south left-turn traffic signals at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Yakima Avenue.

The work will be done between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on Wednesday. The north/south turn lanes will not be operational at 16th Avenue and Yakima Avenue during the project. The rest of the traffic signal at that intersection will operate as usual during that time.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
