Spring/Summer 2018 Bus Book Now Available

Yakima Transit has issued its new Spring/Summer 2018 Bus Book showing City bus routes, schedules, maps, fares, and helpful information on services such as Dial-A-Ride, Vanpool, and Bikes on the Bus.

Schedules in the bilingual Bus Book are effective from Monday, April 30th to Sunday, August 26th.

The Spring/Summer 2018 Bus Book reflects the addition of the new Route 8, which includes areas within the City of Yakima served by Route 10.

Route 8 also adds areas of Yakima that are not currently served by Yakima Transit, such as 16th Avenue north of River Road and westbound on Yakima Avenue from 4th Street to 16th Avenue.

The new Bus Book includes details on additional stops on school days. It also features schedules and maps for Union Gap Transit and the Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter.

By mutual agreement, Yakima Transit and Selah Transit will have two joint-use bus stops. One is located on North 40th Avenue, next to Fred Meyer’s. The other is on North 16th Avenue next to Yakima Cinema.

The Spring/Summer 2018 Bus Book is available at Yakima City Hall, 129 N. 2nd Street, the City’s Public Works Administration Building, 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard, and the Yakima Transit Center at South 4th Street and Walnut Avenue, and on-line at www.yakimatransit.org and clicking “Schedules.”

Information is also available by calling 575-6175.

Yakima Transit’s Citizen Advisory Committee will meet from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday May 9th in the Public Works Large Conference Room (2301 Fruitvale Blvd., main building). The committee’s agenda topics will include a Route 8 update.
