Street Closure set for Yakima Mile

A section of Yakima Avenue will be closed this Saturday, June 7th, for the Downtown Yakima Mile event.

Yakima Avenue will be closed between 16th Avenue and South 3rd Street for the Yakima Mile and event staging. Road closures will take place between 1:00 pm and 10:00 pm on June 7th.

Flaggers will be on site to assist drivers.

A total of 11 race heats are planned, and roads will open as needed in between heats.

Yakima Mile organizers anticipate about 1,300 participants and approximately 700 spectators this Saturday.
