Drivers will find sections of some of the City’s streets temporarily closed Saturday, January 18th, for the 2020 Women’s March.
It will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday and is expected to conclude at 3:00 pm.
The annual walk is organized by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Yakima. It will begin at the church, 225 N. 2nd Street, proceed south on 2nd Street, then east on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The walk will then head south on 8th Street, west on Yakima Avenue, then north onto 2nd Street, ending at the Unitarian Universalist Church.
The Yakima Police Department will provide a moving escort for participants and rolling street closures are planned along the route.
