Drivers will encounter lane closures for nearly two weeks at the intersection of 34th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard due to roundabout work.
The following be in effect 24/7 from 6:00 am Monday, March 2nd, through Thursday, March 12th.
- Traffic will be one lane in each direction through the roundabout.
- Eastbound traffic will not have access to River Road north of Fruitvale Boulevard
- Westbound traffic will not have access to River Road south of Fruitvale Boulevard.
Detours will be provided. Access will be maintained to properties in the project area.
Street, curb, gutter and sidewalk upgrades for the new roundabout were completed in November 2025. Concrete that was used in the island portion of the roundabout needs to be replaced. The cost of replacing the concrete will be borne by the project contractor
