The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Action taken during the Council meeting included:

  • Electing Mayor Patricia Byers
  • Electing Assistant Mayor (Mayor Pro-tem) Matt Brown
  • Receiving the Yakima Public Safety Year-End Review
  • Terminating the city manager’s employment
  • Agreeing to hold a community meeting at the former Bank of America building, 101 N. 2nd St., on Tuesday, January 23rd, at 5:30 pm regarding downtown parking
