Yakima City Council July 2nd, 2024 Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 2nd.

Action taken during the Council meeting included:

  • Administering the Oath of Office to Interim Police Chief Shawn Boyle
  • Authorizing an agreement with the Washington State Department of Commerce for grant funding for the construction of the Aquatic Center at Martin Luther King Jr. Park
  • Accepting a Department of Transportation State Funding grant award for Wide Hollow Creek Pedestrian Bridge Improvement Project
  • Adding July 27, 2024 as a day when cruising shall be permitted under YMC 9.25.020
