The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 4th.

Action taken by the Council included:

  • Issuing a Domestic Violence Awareness Month proclamation
  • Amending City of Yakima Municipal Code Chapter 2.24.010 Longevity Plan (non-represented employees)
  • Receiving a presentation regarding preliminary study results for fees related to land use, building permits and fire inspections.
  • Discussing a proposed pedestrian crossing over Yakima Trolley bridge

The October 4th Yakima City Council regular meeting airs on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Spectrum channel 194, beginning at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, October 5th.

The City Council’s next meeting is a study session for the 2023-24 budget on Thursday, October 6th, at 12:00 pm. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers and remotely via Zoom. It will air live on Y-PAC and streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
