Yakima Transit Offers Free Weekend Shuttles to the Fair

Yakima Transit will provide free shuttle bus service to the Central Washington State Fair each Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the fair’s 10-day run.

Shuttle buses will run continuously to the fairgrounds from the parking lot of the former Astria Regional Medical Center, 110 S. 9th Ave, according to the following schedule:

Shuttles will start 30 minutes prior to fair opening, with final departure from the fairgrounds 30 minutes after the fair closes.

The pick-up point at the former Astria parking lot will be the bus shelter at the intersection of W. Walnut Street and S. 9th Avenue. A sign will be posted in front of the bus shelter.

The drop-off point at State Fair Park will be next to the SunDome.

Service is continuous throughout the day to and from the SunDome.

All regular Yakima Transit bus routes and schedules will operate normally throughout the fair with standard fares being charged. There is no fare for ages 18 and younger.

The #6 Fair Avenue/North Fourth Street route also serves the fairgrounds every half hour from the Downtown Transit Center with the last bus leaving at 6:15 pm.
