City Clerk Rosalinda Ibarra administers the oath of office for Interim Police Chief Shawn Boyle, who assumed his new duties on July 1st. Boyle was a police captain at the time of his appointment. He has been with YPD since 1996.

Teaming up with community partners and a host of volunteers, the City of Yakima Public Works Department offered a free community cleanup on April 27th for neighborhoods that included Nob Hill Blvd to Washington Ave, between 16th Ave and Voelker Ave.

A crew from the City of Yakima Refuse Division recently visited a local school for a presentation about its work in the community.
