City Survey, Map Seeks Input on Pedestrian Access

The City of Yakima seeks community input on pedestrian access. As part of its Pedestrian Master Plan, the City has posted surveys in English and Spanish online asking for public input. Survey questions range from walking frequency and destinations in the City of Yakima, to barriers that prevent walking more often. Harman Center Closed Due to COVID-19 Restrictions

The City of Yakima Harman Center is closed until further notice due to temporary restrictions on activities announced today, Sunday, by Gov. Jay Inslee. The restrictions are due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases statewide. Water Service Line Repairs to Restrict Traffic on North 3rd Street

Water service line repairs will result in traffic restrictions on North 3rd Street between Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Tuesday, November 10th.  Work on the project will begin Tuesday at 7:00 am and should be completed by 3:30 pm. Closures Planned for Veterans Day

Many of the City of Yakima’s services will be closed Wednesday, November 11th, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. A Toys for Tots Drive is now underway at the City of Yakima Harman Center, 101 N. 65th Avenue.
