Water line work will result in the extension of a temporary closure of a portion of South 32nd Avenue through June 16th. Work on the project will begin at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm each day.
While the project is underway, 32nd Avenue between Tieton Drive and Webster Avenue will be closed.
Due to heavy traffic volumes on South 32nd Avenue, drivers can expect delays. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed. Detours around the construction site will be available.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and proceed cautiously through work zones
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
The repairs may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection. Contact the City of Yakima Refuse Division at 509-575-6005 for more information.
