The customer service center on the second floor of Yakima City Hall which provides codes, planning, and permit services to the public will close at noon on Friday, August 19th while renovation work is completed.
The City’s Engineering Division customer service counter, which is located across the hallway from the Codes/Planning counter, will remain open on Friday, August 19th.
Even though the Codes/Planning Customer Service Center at City Hall will close at noon on August 19th, building inspection requests will still be able to be submitted through the City online permit center by clicking on the following link – https://ci-yakima-wa.smartgovcommunity.com/Public/Home.
“We know that the temporary closure of the center at noon on August 19th may result in some inconvenience for our customers,” said Code Administration Manager Joe Caruso. “We ask them to be patient while renovation of the customer service area is completed. Once the renovations of the center are finished, we are confident that customers will appreciate the improved service that we’ll be able to provide,” said Caruso.
The Codes/Planning Customer Service Center will return to operating during normal business hours on Monday, August 22nd.
