Manhole Project to Impact Traffic on Nob Hill

A project to repair a manhole will impact traffic along a section of Nob Hill Boulevard for part of the morning on Thursday, April 20th.

City of Yakima Wastewater Division crews will be working on the project between 5:00 am and 10:00 am on April 20th.  The manhole being repaired is located on Nob Hill between 20th Avenue and 21st Avenue.  While the project is underway, the inside, eastbound lane and the turn lane on Nob Hill between 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue will be closed.  Drivers will still be able to use the outside, eastbound lane along that section of Nob Hill.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Bob Brown at 406-7103.
