Work on Nelson Dam Project to Result in Temporary Road Closures
Work continues on the Nelson Dam removal and replacement project and will result in temporary road closures during the next two weeks. City Plans Closures for Memorial Day
Many of the City of Yakima’s facilities will be closed on Monday, May 30th, in observance of Memorial Day. That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation offices. Business offices for the police and fire departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available. Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.
Commercial Flights at Yakima Airport to Resume
Commercial flights will resume this evening at the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field, but the air traffic control tower at the airport is closed because of damage it sustained during a motor vehicle accident early Friday morning.
