Requests for Proposal Being Accepted for Community Centers

The City of Yakima is inviting organizations interested in managing and operating the Washington Fruit Community Center (WFCC) and/or the Harman Center to submit formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs) by July 30th.

RFPs can be submitted through the free Public Purchase app at publicpurchase.com until

2:00 pm PST on July 30th, 2026.   

RFPs will be publicly read on July 30th at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall (129 North 2nd Street).

The Washington Fruit Community Center (602 North 4th Street) provides a wide range of services and programs including affordable lunches and activities for seniors, safe after-school care and summer programs for kids, and community events like salsa dancing, Taekwondo, and family nights.

The Harman Center (101 North 65th Avenue) offers programs and services for older adults, including fitness and wellness classes, educational seminars, affordable lunches, and many other opportunities that promote health, independence, and belonging.
