Road and Drainage Project to Impact Traffic at Browne and Custer

A road resurfacing and drainage improvement project will impact traffic through the Browne Avenue and Custer Avenue intersection for most of each day from Monday, July 31st through Thursday, August 3rd

As a result of the project, the intersection of Browne Avenue and Custer Avenue will be closed to all traffic from July 31st through August 3rd from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Surface Water Engineer Randy Meloy at 576-6606.
