A road repair project along a two-block section of Chestnut Avenue will impact traffic from Monday, June 13th through Friday, June 17th.
City of Yakima Street Division crews will be preparing Chestnut Avenue between 65th Avenue and 67th Avenue for repaving. That section of Chestnut will be restricted to local traffic only between 6:00 am to 4:00 pm from June 13th through June 17th. Special signage and other traffic control measures will be in place while the project is underway.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
