Sewer Main Extension to Impact Traffic on Summitview

Extension of a sewer main to serve a new housing development will result in traffic impacts on a portion of Summitview Avenue from Tuesday, November 15th through Thursday, November 17th.

While the project is underway, traffic along the portion of Summitview between 88th Avenue and 90th Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction.  Work on the project is scheduled to take place each day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm November 15th through November 17th.

Flaggers will be on site to help drivers navigate through the project area.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.  Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
