A stormwater maintenance project will impact traffic on a section of Pleasant Avenue for most of each day on Wednesday, February 28th and Thursday, February 29th.
As a result of the project, Pleasant Avenue will be closed between Washington Avenue and Spokane Street and westbound traffic through the Pleasant Avenue and Washington Avenue intersection will be restricted to one lane from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on both February 28th and February 29th.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
