Traffic signals at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will be shut down temporarily during the day on Sunday, April 10th for a few hours while work is done to replace a signal cabinet at that location.
City of Yakima crews will be installing a new signal cabinet from 8:30 am until about 12:30 pm that day. At times while the work is underway, the signals at the 72nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard intersection won’t be working. Traffic through the intersection will be restricted to one lane in each direction. Temporary stop signs will also be in place at the intersection. Drivers should be especially attentive while traveling through the project area.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
