Transformer Replacement to Impact Traffic at 40th and River Road

Traffic signals at the intersection of 40th Avenue and River Road will be shut down temporarily during the day on Tuesday, February 23rd for a few hours while work is done to replace a power transformer near the intersection.

Pacific Power crews will be installing a transformer from 9:00 am until about noon that day. While the work is underway, the signals at the 40th Avenue and River Road intersection won’t be working. Flaggers will be in place to help drivers navigate through the project area. Drivers should be especially attentive while traveling through the project area.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, schedules for this type of project are subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.
