The removal of several trees along a one-block section of Peach Street will result in the daytime closure of that portion of Peach Street on Wednesday, April 22nd, Thursday, April 23rd, and Friday, April 24th.
While City of Yakima crews are removing the trees, Peach Street between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue will be closed to all traffic. The closures will begin each day at 7:00 am and last until 4:00 pm from April 22nd through April 24th.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
