The installation of water and sewer lines for a new housing development in West Valley will require the closure of South 64th Avenue between Ahtanum Road and Occidential Road early next week.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM on Monday, February 22nd and continue until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23rd.
Utility crews must remove a 15-foot-wide section of 64th Avenue to bury the new lines and also deal with groundwater issues in the area.
Local access will be maintained as best as possible and detours around the construction activity will be clearly marked.
Drivers should use alternate routes if possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change because of weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
