Walmart Entrance to Close for Storm Sewer Repair Project

An entrance to the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter on Nob Hill Boulevard (6600 West Nob Hill Boulevard) will be closed next week and a traffic signal near the entrance will be temporarily disabled while repairs to a storm sewer line are underway.

From Monday, May 21st through Friday, May 25th, the Walmart parking lot entrance will be closed and the traffic signal nearby will be disabled each day.  Project work hours will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but the parking lot entrance will be closed and the traffic signal will be disabled ’round the clock.  Additionally, the westbound, outside lane of Nob Hill will be closed from 68th Avenue to roughly 400 feet to the east while the project is underway.

Walmart customers and those of other business in the immediate area will need to use alternate parking lot entrances until the project is completed.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
