A wastewater project will result in the closure of 20th Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Prasch Avenue Monday through Thursday for several weeks in June. The closure will be in effect from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday from June 17th through June 27th. The section of 20th Avenue affected by the project will be open at the end of each construction day, on Fridays, and on weekends.
The closure is required in order to complete wastewater system upgrades in the area.
Access to properties in the project area will be maintained.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
