The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013. Action taken by the Council on October 15th included:
– Acceptance of the Downtown Master Plan Report and implementation of an action plan
– Conducting of public hearings on the proposed 2014 City budget and 2014 City of Yakima property levy
– Determining procedures for filling a vacancy on the City Council and directing an application period to be opened
– Reviewed the 2013 3rd Quarter Strategic Plan update
– Directed legal staff to prepare legislation banning the growing, producing, or selling of recreational marijuana in Yakima city limits
