The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 17th. Action taken by the Council included: Approving an agreement with the Millennium Foundation to install mosaic art at Miller Park; Authorizing grant agreement acceptance from the Department of Commerce through the Community Law Enforcement Partnership Program to implement the “Community Action Days” program;
Abating/cleaning 1,336 incidents of graffiti, clearing over 35 tons of garbage and removing 563 grocery carts are some of the City of Yakima Clean City Program activities during the first three months of 2022. Water line work will result in temporary water outages and traffic restrictions on North 3rd Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and West D Street starting Tuesday, May, 17th through Friday, May 20th.
