School Zone Painting to Impact Traffic Next Week

City of Yakima crews will be painting school zone markings at several locations next week, which will impact traffic in those areas. From April 3rd  through April 6th, City crews will be painting school zone markings near Washington Middle School, Adams Elementary, Garfield Elementary, Barge-Lincoln Elementary, Davis High School, Gilbert Elementary, and McKinley Elementary.  Traffic


Commercial Flights at Yakima Airport to Resume

Commercial flights will resume this evening at the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field, but the air traffic control tower at the airport is closed because of damage it sustained during a motor vehicle accident early Friday morning. FAA inspectors have determined the control tower cannot be occupied at this time because structural support beams inside it
