To comply with federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, the City of Yakima’s water system is required to complete an inventory of water service line materials.
The service line inventory is related to the EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. It requires an inventory of individual service line materials within the City of Yakima drinking water system. This inventory was recently completed.
Based on information obtained from service line records and visual inspection of each service, there were no lead service lines discovered. The inventory is available on the City website at Inventory of Water Customer Service Line Materials | Water and Irrigation (yakimawa.gov)
In accordance with EPA regulations, the City will submit the inventory to the State of Washington by October 16th.
