A project will require closing 49th Avenue between Summitview Avenue and Barge Street next Monday through Friday, March 25-29. The closure will be in effect 24/7.
The closure is required as crews will remove and replace the existing roadway on that section of 49th Avenue.
Access to properties in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the project area, if possible.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure and emergencies.
