Road Repair Work to Impact Traffic on Tieton Drive, 72nd Avenue

Traffic on portions of Tieton Drive and 72nd Avenue will be impacted for about two weeks starting next Monday, May 12th, while City of Yakima crews work on repairing and grinding areas of the roadway.

From Monday, May 12th, through Friday, May 23rd, Tieton Drive will be one lane each way from 72nd Avenue to 74th Avenue. Crews will be grinding the westbound lanes. There will also be limited access from time to time on the northside of the road.

During that same timeframe, 72nd Avenue south of Nob Hill Boulevard to W. Prasch Avenue will be one lane each way. Crews will be grinding the southbound lanes. There will also be limited access from time to time on the westside of the road.

Lane closures for both projects will be in effect 24/7 from May 12th to May 23rd.

Traffic delays in the project area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to properties in the project area will be maintained while work is ongoing.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
